Time to celebrate the cherry!! 🍒🍒



Cherries are packed full of goodness such as Vitamin A, Calcium, Potassium and Folic Acid!

They are also high in antioxidants so are great to add into our diet for overall health!


Did you also know that drinking tart cherry juice for 7 days before a strenuous running event can minimise post run muscle pain.


In a randomised controlled trial conducted by The Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition runners drank either 350ml of a placebo drink or 350ml of cherry juice twice daily for 7 days before a long distance running event. After the event the group that drank the cherry juice reported significantly less muscle pain than the placebo group.


Cherries are great in smoothies, added to yoghurt or just to snack on, will you add cherries to your diet this week? 🍒🍒🍒
