Grapefruit- are you a lover or a hater?

Did you know grapefruit is one of the healthiest citrus fruits and one of the lowest in calories?

In one grapefruit you will find about 54 calories and roughly 2.5g of fibre!

But that isn't all, these golden balls of goodness are packed with Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Folate and Potassium and who doesn't want a gut full of cancer protecting antioxidants?

The Vitamin C content is not to be ignored either, with just one medium grapefruit providing up up 70% of our daily recommended intake!

Grapefruit is also high in Lycopene which has been researched for its heart health benefits and has been shown to help reduce blood pressure!

Want to lower your cholesterol levels? A study by the American Chemical Society showed that one grapefruit a day could significantly lower bad cholesterol levels in the body!

All this and the fibre content of a grapefruit is so high that it will promote fullness in the body for longer as digestion occurs at a slower rate!
